“The RGF Flash Evaporator System was incorporated at NAC to reduce the volume of industrial wastewater generated in the process of aluminum casting. The system is designed to evaporate 100% of the liquid portion of the stream leaving a small amount of residue to be discarded. The process consists of air atomization of the liquid into a fine mist while in the presence of heat. The heat flash evaporates the liquid portion of the stream while the dry inorganic solids remain in the unit. This unique, patented process eliminates the need to have a liquid volume leave the facility saving the surrounding environment and reducing the impact on the local POTW (Publicly Owned Treatment Works). The system will evaporate up to 30 gallon per hour using state of the art control systems that monitor the heat use to match the need, which generates an efficient operation.”
